Webinar Traffic Miracle [ Part 1 ]: Timely Tip to transform those old presentations and webinars into thousands of new fans

Its not fair, it is? As an entrepreneur, you are expected to master an ever-increasing web of skills just to stay visibile. Just to stay competitive. And do it in the same 24 hours you have always had.

So its a critical survival skill to make it happen. And keep your sanity at the same time. The problem is: That's more easily said than done.

But I've discovered a little known method that is pure gold. That helps you do just that:

Take those big old slide decks from your webinars and presentations collecting dust on your hard drive. And transform them into traffic magnets!
.

.
Using scandalously simple tools to create eye-opening videos. (Really. Even if you're terrified of video!)

Its a way to funnel literally tens of thousands of new eyeballs to your stuff. And onto your list. Without creating anything from scratch. Sound too good to be true? Watch the tutorial above … and you'll be a believer.

HOT TIP: (after you have watched the video)

If you don't own Keynote or Powerpoint, you can use GoogleDocs, a free online suite of tools that includes a presentation program. If you have a Gmail account, you already have access to Google Docs:

  • Simply log into your Gmail account
  • Click on the Documents menu item in the black bar at the top of the screen
  • Click on the Orange Create button at the upper left of the screen
  • Choose Presentation from the drop down menu.

If you don't have a Google Account (don't worry … its free!) you can sign up for one here.

Now .. its your turn! What kinds of possibilities are you seeing from turning your old webinars into videos? Let me know in the comments!

That is fantastic!! Such a simple tool with endless applications. I can think of a few clients now who could use that. They have loads of old powerpoint slide decks. I'm looking forward to the next video.
    Thanks Rob!

Great idea Vanessa: This isn’t just something we can use ourselves, but pass along to clients. Feel free to send the link to this post to your clients if you think it will help them.

Great one Rob…I teach people how to use what they already have to create content without so much hassle and frustration. The essential component is slicing & dicing what you have into resuable bits. This is an awesome way to do that. I didn't realize you could record with slides up and get a screencast that one. Kewlio!
    Many blessings

Thank you, Mama Red. Yep, repurposing rocks. Glad I could add another ace technique to your toolkit.  Screenr is very cool. I have actually seen some marketers use it to host the tutorials for their products. (Some of the tutorials for earlier versions of Optimize Press were done in Screenr). Its a great tool.

Rob, That was a great post. It was just what I needed. I went straight to Google Docs and composed a complete 12 step presentation. I didn't even know how to do something like this or how to use Google Docs. So you really gave me the know how. I do have Screenr.com and tired to use is a few times but never did anthing with it really. Now I am going to go forward with the rest of your coaching on this topic. Thanks again, Shirley

Hey Shirley, that’s terrific. Sometimes we know what we need to do … but need a little push to get it done. Glad this video was the “push”! Just remember, Screenr is 5 minutes only. So don’t create so many slides you can’t make it in under the deadline.

Thanks for this great tip, Rob. I've recently heard of Screenr, but haven't played around with it yet. I can definitely see how I might repurpose some of my presentations, or use these little snippets to market a full-size webinar. Looking forward to the rest of the videos in your series!

Yes, Lisa. The ideas start to percolate, don't they? Will have a few other really powerful tips to use it to boost traffic in the next few videos. Stay tuned!

Wow, can't wait to get started on this – loads of ideas on how to use it.
One question – do i need Chrome?

Hi Patricia — You don’t need Chrome. That is the browser I was using. Any browser will do.

One more question – can you show us how to make a good title page?

    • Rob
      June 20, 2012 | 1:43 pm

Yep …feel free to copy the screen I use about 0:38 into the video:

      1) Title of presentation / your name / your URL on the upper left
      2) Short description of your presentation on the lower left
      3) Your photo on the lower right.

Quick and easy. And it looks nice and professional.

WOW Rob, YOU "ALWAYS" HAVE perfect timing!

I have Jing Pro.  Never used Screenr as I thought one needed a webcam to do so.  WOWEE.  THANK  YOU! I'm going to share this with my followers!  THEY NEED YOUR inspiration!
